Royalty

Royalty is the chapter where you play as the hero Leia on Theed. Responsibilities:

  • Worked within the restraints of a pre-built canonical Star Wars location.
  • Set the standard in terms of realization and epic-ness for open, large scale battles.
  • Spawned and scripted AI to create a very natural and open large scale battle scenario
  • Created a hand crafted low-altitude dogfighting system
  • Worked with animation closely to implement dozens of animation driven scripted events
  • Spawned and scripted vehicles.
  • Created mission logic and script.
  • Implemented feedback from direction and peers to imrpove the quality of the chapter.
  • Worked with technical art closely to optimize one of the highest performance hitting chapters
  • Implemented and paced VO before handing off to audio for final touches.
  • Worked closely with level art to establish believable cover.

Project: Resurrection

Responsibilities:

  • Worked with two other level designers and the technical level design director to create the most complex chapter in the game
  • Delegated appropriate work to the other level designers based off their experience and skillset
  • Set up systemic starfighter behaviours trees to allow for dynamic, non scripted sequences
  • VO pacing
  • Implemented feedback from direction and peers to improve quality of content.
  • Created custom behaviours for dynamic difficulty tuning based on player's behaviour
  • Assisted in placed asteroids to create an interesting layout in space
  • Refactored and restructed mission script to allow for four person simultanious collaberation
